On Sunday the 4th of March myself and a friend flew to my favourite city, London. It was harder than we thought at first to catch a flight because all our trains were delayed and therefore we only had 10 minutes to check -in. It was a battle but we have made it in the end.
Our Hotel was located in Westminster which was very central and perfect to reach any place within a few minutes. We were quite tired when we arrived so we walked a bit around through our district and got ourselves a little M&S salad.
On the 2nd day, we took a lot into our hands by walking around for almost 10 hours. We visited Picadilly Circus, had a massive 3-course menu at the Hard Rock Cafe which was a kind present of my mum for my birthday, went to Buckingham Palace, the London Eye and drank a sugar plum cup of tea at our dream cafe ( Peggy Porschen).
I do not even know how we spent so much time walking even though we did not see too much. We left the hotel at 10 am and came back at 10 pm which makes 12 hours of walking. We started the day with a Starbucks and a walk around in the Hyde Park. Also, we went to see the Tower Bridge and took some nice photos there. Then we actually wanted to drink a coffee in a beautiful Restaurant but we would have to have reserved a table for this. We also went to King’s Cross and took a photo at Platform 9 3/4. Everyone who knows me knows that I’m the biggest Harry Potter fan so I took one last shot at getting to Hogwarts but unfortunately it didn’ t work out and I’m still in Kassel studying at Uni. Then when it got later on the day we went a bit shopping on Oxford Street. I found a Brandy Melville and the resolution to not shop anything and having myself under control was immediately blown out of the water.
The last day was very short. We went to a cute cafe around the corner of our Hotel and I drank a Chai Latte and ate a Cinnamon Bun. Then we actually already had to get our luggage and make our way to the airport. This time we were very early at the airport to be totally relaxed and being able to have a stroll around the dutyfree stores at the airport. Because I didn’t want to go overbought with my shopping addiction I bought myself a new edition of the 6th Harry Potter book. From then on our little holiday was yet over.
London is definitely my favourite city! First of all because, I feel at home in England overall, also I love the manner, British people encounter each other and lastly, I love it that every corner of London offers something great to do.
