I did an Interrail with my boyfriend and 3 other friends this summer. Interrail has got a lot of offers to travel in the European country and even only Germany for a certain amount of days chosen as you buy the ticket. We chose to buy the Global Pass for 7 days traveling within a whole month.  First of all buying an Interrail ticket is a great opportunity to visit a lot of places within a few days time. I am not going to lie it was exhausting being in several trains for such a great amount of time but still, it was worth being able to see such beautiful cities in only 12 days.

I am going to start off with our 5 day long stay, which was the longest, in Amsterdam. Amsterdam was the first city we visited. After a 6 hours long journey we arrived in our Airbnb. It was such a cute and pretty apartment as it had a really big kitchen and a beautiful living room where we all could feel home in. In my opinion you can only experience Amsterdam if you really try to look behind the facade of that tourist place. You need to live in the city instead of visiting it. Because of that I was able to find some little side streets with some cute cafes or boutiques. To me, the architecture was the best thing about the city. There is no house that is not lovely somehow. Also I loved the fact that you could not find any place where there is no bikes on the banisters. Everyone is rushing through the city with there bikes but I was the person having time for just having a cup of coffee and enjoying my surrounding.

The next stop was Nice. We stayed there for 4 days. I loved the feeling the city gave me. All the streets are small but really pretty and is surrounded by those typical cute French houses. We spent most time outside because otherwise you could not experience Nice the way we did. The harbor, the market and the viewing platform is in my opinion a ‚must’ to visit. Walking around the market gives you such a nice local feeling. At the highest point of Nice we could see the entire city which has got a big and beautiful harbor and is surrounded of water. But I have to say if you want to have a beach holiday the city is probably not for you as it is a stone beach instead of a sand one. Overall though Nice has so many beautiful places, also restaurants and should be experienced by walking around a lot because every corner is somehow beautiful.

The last stop was Barcelona (4 days stay as well). I went to Barcelona once before and I really wanted to come back. Because the first two cities were quite exhausting because we walked a around a lot, we decided to relax more at the beach. I did not have to do the tourist stuff because I have seen it once before. That is why I could focus on fun things. We went to the shopping streets and spent a lot of money there. I really looked forward to Barcelona because of this shop called Brandy Melville since we do not have it Germany. On our last day my boyfriend and I went to a cute restaurant close to the beach which served Paella. What would be a Spain trip without trying there national food choice? And I have to say it was delicious.
